Biography
Bettina Hedemann Kristoffersen
1971: born in Herning Denmark.
1985: started college at Herning
1990: finished college
1990: Gave birth to her daughter Nanna.
1990: Went to Russia where for the first time she saw pictures of the famous photographer JAN SAUDEK and fell in love with his photos and decided pursue an career in Photography.
1991: Began study as a photographer in Denmark – Århus - at the Photografic College Denmark
1995: Graduated from her study of Photography in Copenhagen
1997: Moved to Amsterdam to work and study Dutch
1999: Found love in Amsterdam and made a life there by working for an airline operator and caring for her children.
2000: Gave birth to first son Janus.
2006: Gave birth to second son Kristian.
2009: First exhibition in Amsterdam of her 15 most beloved photo’s, ranging from 1994 till 2009.
Over the course of the years Bettina has continued develop herself as an enthusiastic photographer and learned to work with a Hasselblad camera, taught herself many techniques with regards to compositions, lighting, printing and colouring.
The exhibition at the Amsterdam Art In gallery is the first in the Netherlands and will be followed up by a second exhibition in Enschede (The Netherlands) in February 2010 where she shall be displaying 5 new pieces.
